Reading
Students should be reading 20 minutes a day, five days a week home. They can use the books we have at the library and they can also reread the Spiderwick Chronicles.
Many students did not read for March. They are now reading in zero break everyday.
Writing
The students have writing homework today. They need to fill out the essay planning sheet. We will go over and work on them tomorrow before they write their essays. If you have any questions about the writing post on the comments of this blog and I will answer them tonight.
Rifat believes that in the summary of thesis and reasons, he should not really put reasons rather than a summary of his ideas on the essay. to see what he misunderstood pls. review his worksheet. pls. explain the essay planning sheet to him one more time, focusing on the highlights at the beginning, thanx
ReplyDeletewill Rifat and co. continue reading through zero breaks and when should they start reading home? Rifat says that you will make them continue reading through Zero breaks so he thinks he does not need to read at home:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments. Yes we will be working on the essay planning sheet tomorrow. This week the ideas are different then what we normally talk about and I want the students to work on different methods of writing.
ReplyDeleteRifaat should still be reading at home. As I explained in class several times, they are reading in zero break because they didn't do the homework. They have to make up that work on top of doing the reading for this month.
thanks for the reply but pls. if explain to Rifaat that he also need to read at home> i told him what you say in your reply but he insist that he need to read only in the zero breaks .
